Favela Cafe Cultural & Specialty Tours (Portugal)

The best vibes, hospitality was so personal and kind. We got sandwiches, iced lattes, pao do queijo, and chicken croquettes. Everything was delicious. Coming back for sure!

We had an amazing experience with Favela Brazilian Cafe and Tours. Our host, Rodrigo was so full of energy and life which made our experience fully enjoyable. Sometimes it’s nice to be able to go on a trip and not have to think about anything and with most everything planned out by Rodrigo, that was easy to do! Although the primary goal of our first trip with Rodrigo was to go to Costco in Sevilla Spain, he had a full itinerary planned out for us which added great value to the trip. I don’t want to spoil the surprise but we made a couple of stops in Portugal on our way to Sevilla, stayed in an AirBnB that night and went to a show. Day 2, Rodrigo made us breakfast, then we did an excursion before doing our Costco run. On the way back to Setubal we stopped for dinner and he dropped us off at our home with our haul from Costco. Fun trip, great company and conversation and we’d definitely sign up for another destination trip again! Rodrigo even helped us practice our Portuguese which was a nice bonus :).

We used Favela Tours for our recent trip to Seville and had a blast! Rodrigo is a fantastic guide, he is warm, kind and funny! If you are looking for a small tour where you will end up with friends he is your guy. The Portuguese lessons are a bonus. We will be using him again! Highly Recommend!

I just got back from a 2 day excursion to Sevilla/Costco with Rodrigo, who owns Favela Brazilian Cafe & Speciality Tours. It was so much fun! We didn't just drive to Sevilla to go to Costco, we stopped at two charming small towns on the way to visit the costelo. We had a tasty traditional Portuguese lunch over looking the river in Mertola. When we got to Sevilla we dropped off our bags and went out for tapas. It was so nice to have Rodrigo there to help with the selections. Then we were off to a flamenco show. After the show we went to El Rinconcillo for some wine and dessert. It's a must visit establishment that opened in 1670. The next morning Rodrigo fixed us a delicious breakfast and off we went to the Seta de Sevilla and a leisurely walk through the city before we headed off to Costco. Only Rodrigo can make a trip to Costco so much fun! He is a delightful human! He is always a step ahead making sure everyone is enjoying the day, not getting hungry or too tired. We drove back through the Algarve and had one of the best dinners I've had in Portugal at a Gastro Pub in Tavira. No one was snoring, but we were definitely a well satiated bunch dozing a bit on the way home after two fantastic days.

Our three day adventure in the Andalusia region of Spain was full of surprises, laughs, stunning scenery, history, and connection with locals. Rodrigo has the ability to make everything seem effortless while adding a little magic to it all. Even the car ride was made better by his DJ skills. We sang our way home. Highly recommend any tour that Rodrigo puts together!

Thanks Rodrigo for a great 2nd adventure to Andalusia Adventure 2 … Andalusia. A great road trip with lovely company exploring the delights of Jerez, Cadiz, and a few hours in Seville … great fun, fabulous flamenco and many tapas enjoyed by all Adventure 1 … Beja. A lovely relaxing excursion to Alentejo exploring small towns on the way followed by lunch in Beja and Beja itself … Rodrigo introduced us to the highlights of Beja and a great restaurant for a “wow” of a lunch experience…thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommend taking a tour

Had both a bite to eat at the Setubal cafe and went on the Vintage and Holiday Lights tour to Lisbon. The Brazilian vegetarian/cheese sandwich was the absolutely perfect bite after my lap swim, generously loaded with veggies. The Lisbon tour was a blast, thanks to Rodrigo's effervescent and very accommodating personality. Rodrigo and Dunya, the owners, bring a wonderfully relaxed vibe to what they do. I will be back!

The sandwiches were so good we ordered a second round. The café is welcoming and friendly, great for families, couples, or anyone looking for amazing food in a relaxed atmosphere. Try a specialty coffee with homemade caramel or a delicious strawberry smoothie. The hot chocolate is also incredible. The café is run by two of the loveliest people you will ever meet. Dogs are allowed. Highly recommended.
